Is there still a need to uproot these people out of their country and transport them to the U.S.? They are uncivilized obviously.. You can see the happiness on their face while they are beating this man just because he stole food?? There is really no excuse for them to beat a man into the ground and continue beating his dead carcass for a petty theft.. Or in this case, because he was hungry.. Can you imagine what may happen if these same people are here and something happened that they didn't approve of?
Is this how they handle their problems??
I couldn't find this article on TBT's website so I had to scan this in. In case you can not see the caption for the photo to clearly, it reads,
Haiti
Violence builds amid aid snafus
Haiti's earthquake is turning into an epic humanitarian crisis.
Violence flared among the rubble on the weekend. In the photo a mod beats the lifeless body of a man lynched after being accused of robbery near Port-au-Prince. Elsewhere, several looters were shot dead by security agents. U.N. peacekeepers said anger is rising as food and water have been slow to arrive. Supplies appear to have run into a bottle-neck at the airport, now controlled by the U.S. military. A World Food Program official told the New York Times that the Americans' priorities were out of sync, allowing too many U.S. military flights and too few aid deliveries.
My question is, Since 2002 we have been sending the Haitians millions, what happened to that money? Where did all of that money go? What did they invest it in?
